We luckily know a gem of a poet who covered all possible aspects of life in his poetry. Ali is no doubt, a voice of choice if you have any attraction for modern Urdu Ghazal. Sohaib Mugheera Sidiqui

Sohaib Mugheera Siddiqui

Listening to one of his finest poetry ‘raigani’, simply a matter of feeling you drowned into the pool of rhythms and words. If there’s any face of a perfect poem, that’s Iztrab. Sohaib is a Punjab University graduate pursuing his career in advertising. Not only that he writes exquisite but also performs very well. He amused the audience at many platforms back in University days. What we loved about his poetry is the concept that he paints. He knows how to complement words with the imagination. He doesn’t only pen down verses but thoughts, ideologies, and concepts. Ragini, the journey is still continuing. He is the only person to justify the narration of his poetry. You see creative ads on TV and he is the mind behind many of them. His career is full of artistic theatre performances and so is his diary filled with his aesthetic verses.

I doubt you being a Pakistani national if you don’t know this guy. He made us all laugh and cry at the same time with his jaw-dropping performance as Gulzar Hussain in Ehd-e-Wafa. He studied art at NAPA. You will be left with no choice but to appreciate him more if you know him a person in real life. He is a very skilled theatre performer and a book worm. His dialogue delivery completely compliments his expressions. Very nurtured at conveying his message to the audience and ending up capturing the attention of them forever. You can’t just simply pull yourself out from the charismatic spell he did on us with the south Punjabi (Siraiki) accent back as Gulzar Hussain from Bastee Malook Zillah Taunsa Shareef. Also, he gave a new life to our beloved Attacullah’s song Allah karesi changian.

Naeema Naeem Butt

I take pride in announcing that I learned major acting skills from this talented, gorgeous, and impressively empowered lady. Graduated with media communication as a major and earned a foreign scholarship to her pocket. Apart from being an actor since forever, she is a social activist too. Her acting career goes back as long as her educational one. From the national theatre performances to the TV screen, Naeema made her way to every remarkable platform. Zohaib Ali

Zohaib Ali

As my knowledge to date, I never came across such a brilliant drummer. He beat the drum as it’s the last thing on the planet to enjoy. Zohaib comes from Chakwal. He is among the rising musical talent of Pakistan. Not only that he plays the instrument magically but sing as well. Luckiest are the ones whose passion and profession are aligned like him. He plays a drum at events and the audience can’t resist dancing over the beats that he brings out of a very usual song. Be there many modern instruments introduced, he decided to stick with Punjab’s most loved Dhol (drum). If you want to regain your faith in the wonders of DHOL, you need to see him playing, singing, and dancing on his creativity.

Arishma Maryam

Arishma Maryam

A feather of Pakistani’s first female Dhol player goes to her cap. Women are always considered physically weak to pick up and play publicly such a huge musical “mass” called DHOL. Where women can’t take a walk alone on road, she is daring enough to display her talent. From a crowded cricket stadium to an international representation of Pakistan, Arishma unlocked all achievements. She is a professionally trained drummer and earned countless awards. She gives all the credit to her parents for believing in a talent of her that’s least acceptable for a woman in an eastern society like ours. Putting the stereotypes aside and negating social taboos with her positive energy and faith, she stands out of the crowd. Only if the audience keeps appreciating her up to deserved level, will surely bring more pride to our homeland Pakistan.

These are the selected icons I come to know. You name talent and we got it. Age brackets, gender, race, ethnicity, and customs are just a word now. Hazrat Allama Iqbal predicted it right:

Zara Nam Ho To Ye Mitti Bari Zarkhaiz Hai Saqi’
